Direct and Indirect Veneer Installation

Veneers can be installed using a direct technique and an indirect technique. We'll work with you to determine which method is better for the results you desire.

• The direct technique of veneers involves placing composite resin on the exterior of your tooth using bonding.
  
• The indirect technique involves fabricating veneers at a dental lab and takes two appointments to complete. During your first appointment, your teeth are prepared, impressions are taken, and your teeth are given a temporary covering. When the veneers return from the lab, your temporary coverings are removed and the veneers are bonded to your teeth. Fabricated veneers are commonly made using porcelain or pressed ceramic.
